BorgWarner to Supply Engine, Drivetrain for Hyundai Tucson

Auto powertrain manufacturer BorgWarner Inc. said Wednesday that it will supply the engine and drivetrain for the Hyundai 2010 Tucson and ix35 models.
BorgWarner said its engine and drivetrain technology will help improve fuel efficiency on the Tucson, reduce noise and help the vehicle meet emission standards.
The 2010 Tucson is designed for the U.S. market while the ix35 is a similar model that will be sold in Europe and come equipped with a diesel engine.
Shares of BorgWarner rose 53 cents, or 1.7 percent, to $32.71 in midday trading.
