Lana Condor Is Hollywood’s Freshest Lead

Lana Condor leveraged her breakout Netflix success into a series of diverse and compelling roles.
Vietnamese American actor Lana Condor has quickly established herself as a leading lady of the streaming era.
She debuted in the 2016 Marvel film X-Men: Apocalypse as Jubilee. The blockbuster hit grossed over $543 million and gave Condor widespread visibility to start her career.
Condor is best known for her role as Lara Jean Covey in Netflix’s critically acclaimed To All the Boys film trilogy. Based on a popular young adult novel the films were released in 2018, 2020, and 2021.
In 2022 she co-starred in the HBO Max romantic sci-fi film Moonshot and starred in the Netflix limited comedy-drama series Boo, Bitch.
The following year Condor continued with a leading role voicing the titular character in the DreamWorks animated feature, Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken.
The 28-year-old was born in Cần Thơ, Vietnam and was raised in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles after being adopted by American parents.
She trained extensively in classical ballet at elite institutions and developed her acting skills through programs at the New York Film Academy and the Yale Summer Conservatory for Actors.
Those skills will be put to good use for her lead role in the upcoming Amazon film Ballerina Overdrive. Her range and in-demand status are further demonstrated by being cast as the lead in the thriller Devil’s Mouth and the romcom Whodunnit.
Condor’s smart choice of projects has resonated with fans, yielding her 10 million Instagram followers.
