Aespa Has Exploded onto the K-Pop Universe

A string of platinum hits ignited Aespa into a global pop supernova.
Aespa is a four-member K-Pop girl group captivating audiences with their high-energy pop, hip-hop, and dance tracks and their fresh “metaverse” concept.
The Aespa’s latest EP Rich Man was released in September 2025 with a splashy promotion that included an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show.
In June Aespa had unveiled its first single album “Dirty Work” which gained widespread popularity with use in an iPhone commercial.
The group’s popularity had surged in 2024 with the release of Armageddon, their first full-length studio album. The album reached number 1 on the U.S. World charts and the lead single “Supernova” became Aespa’s second most streamed song.
The group debuted in November 2020 with the single “Black Mamba” with a vibrant stage performance that attracted over 20 million views.
Since then Aespa has released 6 EPs by eponymous title tracks that have all charted top five in Korea and top 50 in the U.S. Billboard 200.
2021’s Savage received the group’s highest Korean certification, 3x Platinum.
Aespa’s sophomore EP Girls released the following year peaked on the U.S. charts at number three.
2023’s Drama contains their most streamed track with over 425 million plays on Spotify.
Aespa’s four members are all in their mid-20s. Karina and Winter are both Korean. Giselle is of Japanese-Korean heritage. NingNing is Chinese.
The group has amassed over 45 million social media followers driven by viral trends, vlogs, behind the scenes promotions, and their electric dance performances.
