Assort Health has achieved a $750 million valuation with an AI solution to cut costs and improve patient care for over 140 clinics.
Jeffery Liu and Jon Wang are co-founders and co-CEOs of Assort Health, a company specializing in conversational AI for healthcare call centers.
Beyond scheduling appointments, the Agentic AI platform responds to specialty-specific inquiries for an average 2.7x reduced call drop rate and 50% decreased call duration while cutting operational costs.
Liu and Wang’s product is currently used by over 140 clinics and has facilitated millions of patient interactions across various specialties, including orthopedics, physical care, OB-GYN, dermatology, and dentistry.
Assort Health has raised $79.5 million in total funding over three rounds including $50 million in August during the Series B round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, placing its valuation at $750 million.
“They're one of the fastest-growing companies we've ever had, including Uber or Roblox,” notes one Assort investor.
Annual revenues are just over $3 million but the influx of investments reflects the potential for operations to scale up for profitability.
Jon Wang left UCSF medical school to pursue entrepreneurship full time. He holds a masters and bachelors in bioinformatics from Stanford. Prior to co-Founding Assort Health he conducted machine learning research. Wang grew up in Roseville, Minnesota.
Jeffrey Liu was Head of Product Engineering at Athelas and a Facebook engineer before co-Founding Assort Health. He graduated from Duke in 2019 with a bachelors in computer science and economics. Liu is from Alexandria, Virginia and is a native Chinese speaker.
